1. What 5 health and safety issues do you feel are the most necessary to address in family child care programs?
2. Do you feel that any of the family child care rules for RF or CF (whichever you are) do not positively correlate or fully support infant health, safety or development? Are there any that don't go far enough? Are there any that need to be put in place in your opinion?
3. When you think about optimal development for infants, what are 5 aspects of your program that you believe best support best practices and best outcomes for infants? Be specific and cite what you have learned/know about infant development.
4. When you think about optimal development for infants, what are (up to) 5 aspects of your program that you believe you could improve best practice or best outcomes? Be specific and cite what you have learned/know about infant development.
5. Think about a child that you have known/cared for (your own or a daycare child) who struggled with at least 1 domain/aspect of development (social-emotional, mental, cognitive, language, physical) and explain how the development he/she struggled with affected the rest of the baby's/toddler's development. (What I am asking you to address is how delay or trouble in 1 aspect of development affects the rest of the child's development).
Once you have submitted the "Final Assignment" I will email you an evaluation (please give me 48 hours to email you back). Please complete this (be honest -- what you say in it has zero bearing on whether or not you get a certificate) and return it to me (a photo is fine by email) and then, once I make sure that all your assignments, questions etc are turned in, I will send you the certificate (please give me 5 business days to return your certificate). It will arrive via email in PDF form and all you need to do is print a copy for your records and then upload the certificate to ORO (usually downloading it to your computer or device first).
